Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are cylindrical molecules made up of rolled-up single-layer carbon atom sheets (graphene). They can be single-walled (SWCNT) with a diameter of less than 1 nanometer (nm) or multi-walled (MWCNT) with diameters greater than 100 nm composed of several concentrically interlinked nanotubes. Their length can range from a few micrometres to several millimetres.
CNTs are currently produced using three methods: arc discharge, laser ablation of graphite, and chemical vapour deposition (CVD). In comparison to conventional materials, carbon nanotubes are well-suited for virtually any application requiring high strength, durability, electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, and lightweight properties.
Market Analysis: The Asia-Pacific carbon nanotube market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 24.59 percent, from $801 million in 2016 to $4566 million by 2024. CNT demand and use are rapidly increasing in medical, aerospace, defence, coatings and other applications. For More Details: https://materialsscience.peersalleyconferences.com/tracks/carbon-nanotubes
